Sri Lanka takes extreme measures as country runs out of fuel.

The Cabinet has decided that only essential services will be provided with fuel in the country until 10 July.

Only essential services will function due to the fuel crisis. Minister of Mass Media Bandula Gunawardana made this announcement while speaking to the media after the Cabinet meeting.

The functioning of ports, airports, hospitals and healthcare, food distribution and agriculture will be considered essential services.

Schools in the Western Province and other main cities will also remain closed until 10 July. Schools in the suburbs will open as per the discretion of school principals.
