Sources in Singapore, speaking to News Cutter exclusively, indicate that the Singapore government may have told Gotabhaya Rajapaksa that they would not extend his stay beyond the initially agreed 15 days grant.

Authorities forsee security issues if he extends his stay, the source added.

The former president of Sri Lanka Gotabhaya Rajapaksa who fleed the country on July 13 arrived in Singapore on July 14 after first landing in Maldives on July 13.

Sources indicate that Gotabhaya Rajapaksa therein may return to Sri Lankan soil by the end of July.
