The final lunar eclipse of the year will be visible today afternoon, November 8, according to Professor Chandana Jayaratne, Director of the Physics Department at the University of Colombo’s Astronomy and Space Science Unit.
Although it appears as a full lunar eclipse in other countries, Professor Jayaratne claimed that Sri Lanka only sees a partial lunar eclipse.
The latter portion of it appeared as a partial lunar eclipse. At 1:32 PM, a lunar eclipse takes place. At 4:29, the eclipse reaches its halfway point. It concludes at 5:27. The moon is below the horizon, so we won’t be able to view the eclipse’s beginning.
Today around 5:48 p.m., the moonrise is visible from Sri Lanka, but closer to the north than the east. During the period of the eclipse, which lasts from 5.48 to 6.19, the moon will rise. He said, “We will be able to view the partial moon eclipse if we look at the eastern horizon.
