“A considerable rainfall has been occurred in catchment areas of Kalu Ganga Basin as of 12.00 Noon today. By analyzing the current rainfall situation and river water levels of Hydrological Stations in Kalu Ganga, there is a possibility of occurring a considerable flood situation in lowline areas of Kalu Ganga valley situated in Pelmadulla, Nivithigala, Ratnapura, Kuruvita, Ayagama, Elapatha, Palinda Nuwara and Bulathsinhala D/S Divisions. It is requested to pay high attention in this regards by the residents in those area and vehicle drivers running through those areas. Disaster Management Authorities are requested to take adequate precautions in this regards.”
