COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (News Cutter) —The government is considering imposing a control price for fertilizers due to higher rates being sold to farmers.

However, no final decision has been reached yet. The final decision will be made after investigating studies and reports.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has proposed the establishment of a Modern Agriculture Technical Secretariat, and the Cabinet paper will be forwarded to the Cabinet of Ministers next week.
