MOH issues directives for Govt. hospitals to delay all non-essential surgeries

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has issued a directive to government hospitals to postpone non-essential surgeries for a short period of time.

According to news reports, Minister of Health, Keheliya Rambukwella has stated instructions have been issued to delay non-essential surgeries.

However, Rambukwella states that steps will be taken to carry out essential surgeries in government hospitals without any delay.
