Witnesses afraid to come forward in Rambukkana shooting?

Having received reports from lawyers in Kegalle that witnesses were afraid to come forward to provide statements with regard to the events that had transpired during the shooting incident in Rambukkana, which left 1 dead and 12 injured, the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) had made an intervention.

The BASL had made representations to the Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka Justice Rohini Marasinghe and the Inspector General of Police CD Wickremeratne.
