The Ministry of Health says a viral flu with symptoms similar to influenza is currently sweeping the island.

Dr Hemantha Herath, Deputy Director of Health Services, stated that when compared to covid disease, complications from this disease are relatively minor.

According to Herath, it is critical to follow proper health advice because there is a risk of spreading this disease from person to person with symptoms such as a cold, cough, and fever.
