The Southern Province Small and Medium Scale Bakery Owners’ Association (SMSBOA) says that the lack of specific control prices for bakery items has caused numerous problems in the bakery industry.

According to news reports, Kamal Perera, the president of AMABOA has said that many problems arise due to the price variety of bakery items.

It is noteworthy that the price of flour reduced but bakery manufacturers are yet to reduce the price of bakery items.

Speaking to news media bakery manufacturers have claimed that cheap flour in the market is of substandard quality.
