Wimal Weerawansha during a press briefing held yesterday (March 4) blamed Basil Rajapaksa for the country’s economic crisis.

Speaking about his sacking, Wimal said, “PM Mahinda Rajapaksa spoke to us, he is hurt but his willingness wasn’t finalized at the end.”

Wimal expressed his refusal to accept any ministerial portfolios in the SLPP government.

Wimal was sacked from his ministerial position yesterday. He is the former minister of industries.

Vasudeva Nanayakara also has expressed his unwillingness to continue as a cabinet minister.
