A 26-year-old man was killed in a collision with the Podi Menikke train today. The incident took place between Kotagala and Thalawakkele (Senkilayar area).

A railway station official said that the person had collided with the train which was traveling from Badulla to Colombo this morning before his body was handed over at the Kotagala railway station before the train departed.

The deceased has been identified as a resident of Santa Andrew Estate.

Police are investigating in the angle on whether the incident were a suicide.
