Speaking to Media on Friday (25), Sumith Wijesinghe, Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) urged the Public not to stockpile fuel. According to him, it has been revealed that consumers have been pumping more fuel than they use daily.

He assured that fuel shipments are being brought down in a timely manner to fulfil the requirements for electricity generation as well as transportation needs. Furthermore, he requested industrialists to acquire a recommendation letter from the Divisional secretariate in order to acquire fuel for factories and businesses
