Four special centres will be established including one in the magazine prison, for the 2022 A/L Exam

The GCE Advanced Level Exam will be held in 2022 at a total of four special centres.

Amith Jayasundara, the commissioner-general of examinations, announced in a statement that a special centre for prisoners will be established on the premises of the Colombo Magazine Prison, two centres for children with special needs will be established in Ratmalana and Tangalle, and a centre for students receiving medical care at the Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama will be established.

As a result, the A/L exam will be held at 2,200 centres around the country.

Examination Commissioner-General Amith Jayasundara stated that 278.196 applications to schools are among the 331,709 students set to take the exam. The 2022 A/L examination will also be taken by 53,513 private applicants.

The GCE Advanced Level Examination for 2022 will be held from the 23rd of this month to the 17th of February.

Meanwhile, the government has declared that scheduled daily power outages will not be implemented during the A/L exam period.
