The Department of Meteorology predicts showers or thundershowers at a few places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in the Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts during the afternoon or night.
The Met Department added that a few showers will occur in the Uva Province and in the Batticaloa and Ampara districts.
Meanwhile, the general public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
