Lorry driven by a group of kids was involved in a hit-and-run collision

A lorry driven by a group of children was involved in a hit-and-run collision in the Nittambuwa area, according to reports.

According to reports, the lorry kept going after the collision without stopping, and the police eventually tracked it down and stopped it.

During the interrogations, it was found that the children in question were travelling from a children’s home in the Nuwara Eliya area to Negombo.

Police reported that there were four children in the lorry at the time of the collision, but nobody was injured. The four kids are 11, 12, and 16 years old.

According to the police, one of them was a child who had recently been relocated from a children’s home in Negombo to another in Nuwara Eliya. The other kids followed his lead and left the orphanage to go see the sea in Negombo.

Additionally, it has come to light that they took the key to a lorry that belonged to the children’s home and drove it there.

The children will be handed to the appropriate children’s home in Nuwara Eliya, according to the police.

The event is still under investigation by Nittambuwa Police.
