The Colombo Magistrates’ Lawyers Association has decided to provide free legal assistance for 24 hours to all members of the public who have been taken before the courts as a result of the peace struggle.

The Colombo Magistrate’s CourtLawyers Association released a statement to that effect.

Furthermore, the organization has decided to appear in court for free until the lawsuits are resolved.

Those arrested illegally for engaging in peaceful protests are also advised to contact 071 831 6948 and 070 730 2025.
