The Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva said that Sri Lankan Military personnel will act according to the constitution. He said this at a special meeting for foreign military attaches in Sri Lanka held at the BMICH on Tuesday (05). Furthermore, he said that the Army is prepared to provide necessary security and protection to the state as a professional outfit.
