President Ranil Wickremesinghe has stated that all political parties must reach an agreement in order to solve the ethnic problem by the upcoming 75th Independence Celebration.

President Wickremesinghe made this statement last Tuesday, December 13, while attending the All-Party Conference at the Presidential Secretariat.

Wickremesinghe called the all-party conference with the goal of resolving the ethnic conflict through national reconciliation.

It is noteworthy that Party leaders representing all parties in Parliament (except National People’s Power) were present during the meeting.
