Sri Lanka’s Major Export Crop in Danger Due to Plummeting Prices

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (News Cutter) – The Cinnamon Cultivators Association is urging the government to provide a concessional price for cinnamon, one of the country’s major export crops.

According to Chaminda Rajapakse, the Cinnamon industry has been hit hard by a significant drop in prices.

Furthermore, Rajapakse stated that cinnamon growers and crushers are struggling to make ends meet due to the current prices, which have been low for several months. (Lahiru Doloswala)
