Sri Lanka’s Court of Appeal ordered gas companies; Litro and Laughs to recall all gas cylinders that were released to the market which do not meet the Sri Lanka Standards Institute (SLSI) standards, today.

In addition to that, the Court has given specific directions to NOT CHARGE consumers for the replacement of the gas cylinders with the ones approved by the SLSI.

The companies have been instructed to distribute the gas cylinders that have been approved by the SLSI.

It is noteworthy that all gas cylinders that have passed the SLSI checks carry a red polythene cover on the valve.
