The Lagoon at Cinnamon Grand Colombo is arguably the best and most affordable seafood buffet in Colombo. For just Rs. 3500, this buffet offers the freshest haul of the day, cooked to your liking — grilled, curried, steamed, fried or served on a sizzling plate. It’s like a classy fish market. The seafood is displayed on a thick bed of ice, which you can browse through, pick what you like and the chefs will prepare them according to your preference.

Price per head: Rs. 3500 (every Sunday, lunch)

Graze Kitchen (The Hilton Colombo)

Featuring a staggering selection of sushi, sashimi, maki and many other seafood delicacies, the Japanese isle of the Graze Kitchen buffet is a must-try for any seafood lover. They also have a separate seafood section with a rich spread of prawns, mussels, crab, cuttlefish, octopus and whatnot.

The buffet at Central in Shangri-La is a fine gastronomic tour through the world map. From Sri Lankan, Middle Eastern and Italian to Indian, Chinese and Japanese, it has a little bit of everything. If you’re a pescatarian, make sure to stop by the Japanese food section, where you can get some delicious sushi made with fresh seafood and a wide array of steamed seafood — prawns, cuttlefish, clams and crab etc.

Harbour Court (The Kingsbury Hotel)

Harbour Court buffet is gushed with flavours of the sea. With lots and lots of crabs, prawns, mussels, oysters and other kinds of seafood, it’s all about the freshest catch of the day, prepared to perfection.

KOBE’s Japanese high tea buffets are incredibly impressive, especially due to the heap of sushi and sashimi they’ve got in the spread. It takes place every last Sunday afternoon of the month, from 3.00 PM to 6.00 PM.
